Invitation & Call for Papers
4th European Automotive Simulation Conference (EASC)
It is our pleasure to invite you to participate in the 4th European Automotive Simulation Conference (EASC) to be held at the Hilton Munich Park Hotel in Germany on July 6 -7, 2009.
Simulation-Driven Product Development has become a key factor in achieving success in a highly competitive marketplace. Employing new simulation technologies in the earliest stages of design has become indispensable to reduce development cycles and to lower costs. However, the geometric complexity and advanced physics involved present some of the most challenging CAE problems facing engineers today. Market pressure to create innovative products in less time emphasizes the need to carry out more advanced simulations, faster than ever before.

The EASC 2009 will cover the full spectrum of simulation and account for the entire range of physics that are relevant in vehicle design; these include structural, fluids, thermal and electronic design automation. The 4th EASC, offers a unique opportunity to get a comprehensive update on the latest technologies in engineering simulation for the automotive industry.
Categories to be covered by the event:
- Aerodynamics & Fluid Mechanics, including aeroelasticity, rain water management and vehicle soiling
- Body-in-White, including strength, durability, crashworthiness and safety
- Chassis, including axles, suspension, mechanisms, kinematic behaviour and shock absorbers
- Climate Control, including heating, ventilation, air-conditioning, passenger comfort, defogging, defrosting and solar loading
- Electromagnetic and Electronic Design, including Hybrid Vehicle Technology, Electric Drive Train Systems, Power Electronics, Antennas and Communication
- Engine Design, including in-cylinder flow, spray, combustion, engine cooling and durability
- Manufacturing Processes, including painting, cavity waxing, thermoforming, blow moulding, coating, extrusion and welding
- Noise, Vibration and Harshness, including aeroacoustics, buffeting, vibroacoustics and brake squealing
- Powertrain, including Gearbox, Fuel Systems, Tank Filling and Sloshing, Exhaust Systems, Aftertreatment, Fans, Pumps, Turbo Chargers and Torque Converters, Filters, Separators, and Fuel Cell Technology
- Thermal Management, including brake cooling, underhood cooling, piston and electronic cooling
- Vehicle Components, including airbags, hydraulics, valves, lighting equipment and tyres
Engineers who are active in the automotive industry or in a related research institution are encouraged to share their work and exhibit their organization’s strength on an international stage. If you are using one or more products in the ANSYS portfolio you are invited to play a vital role in this conference by presenting a paper.
All conference presenters will get free admittance!
In order to participate, please send your paper title and a synopsis (up to 250 words) not later than February 6, 2009:
